''Peace Unto All'' - one of 2026 Democracy Awards honorees

The ''Peace Unto All'' Project Has Been Named a Recipient of the 2026 Democracy Award.

The Democracy Award is an annual honor presented by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED) to recognize individuals and organizations defending human rights, freedom of conscience, and human dignity under conditions of persecution and pressure.

This year, the 'Peace Unto All' project is among the laureates. According to the official NED announcement, following the start of Russia's full-scale war against Ukraine, the Russian authorities have increasingly weaponized religious institutions to justify domestic repression and external military aggression. Under these circumstances, 'Peace Unto All' supports religious figures persecuted for their anti-war stance, helps preserve the voice of dissent, and protects the right to freedom of religion or belief.

For us, this award is, above all, a recognition of the courage of clergy members, pastors, monastics, laity, and all people of faith who have not abandoned the voice of conscience and continue to bear witness to the value of peace, human dignity, and freedom.
