Project: “Peace Unto All”
Reporting period: January 1 – June 30, 2025
A Word from the Team
Now in our second year of work, we continue to see just how crucial and necessary this project is. Repressions against anti-war clergy by the hierarchy of the Russian Orthodox Church have not stopped. Many are forced to flee the country; others remain and try to rebuild their lives, despite being stripped of their ministry.
Thanks to your support, dozens of families have received help: with housing, food, medicine — and with something no less important — a sense of hope. Your donations show them that their sacrifice in the name of peace is not in vain. Together, we can keep supporting those who risk their lives and vocations to uphold the Gospel message of peace and the value of every human life.

Spring 2025
After nearly a year and a half of persistent effort and overcoming bureaucratic challenges, Peace Unto All (Friede Allen e.V.) was officially registered as a non-profit charitable organization (gemeinnütziger Verein) in Germany.
May 2025
Russian State Duma deputy Yana Lantratova called on the Prosecutor General's Office to designate Peace Unto All as an “undesirable organization.” She presented to Parliament claiming that the project "discredits" the Russian Orthodox Church, “recruits clergy,” accuses the Russian military of crimes, and discusses the possible canonization of people recognized as “extremists” in Russia.
June 26
Peace Unto All co-founder, Archpriest Andrei Kordochkin, initiated a public appeal to Friedrich Merz, Chancellor of Germany, urging him to help secure the release of political prisoners in Russia. Among the signatories were:Fr. Valerian Dunin-Barkovsky, politicians Ilya Yashin, Andrei Pivovarov, Maxim Reznik, human rights activist Olga Romanova, public figures such as Mikhail Gelfand, Anna Narinskaya, and others.
Supporting Testimony Through Writing
One of our key missions is to help anti-war clergy share their voices and experiences through published texts. This initiative has multiple dimensions:
1. Personal healingWriting becomes a therapeutic act for many priests. Some continue serving; others have lost their parishes or can no longer act openly. Sharing their stories restores a sense of dignity and agency.
2. Peer solidarityThese texts create bridges. When other clergy and believers read them, they understand they are not alone. The experience of loss, exile, and separation is a shared one.
3. Public discourseWe offer something rare — a free platform without censorship. In contrast to Russian church-affiliated media, we allow anti-war voices to speak openly about the moral crisis and challenges the Church faces today.
4. Cultural and historical contributionThese writings may become part of a lasting legacy — a spiritual archive of truth-telling in times of silence. We aim for high-quality content that will serve both the present and future.
What’s Next?
In addition to direct material support, we are expanding our forms of assistance to strengthen the voice and community of anti-war clergy. Our plans include:
Preparing an appeal to leaders of Local Orthodox Churches, urging them to condemn Russia’s military aggression and the actions of Patriarch Kirill.
Translating core materials into English, German, and other languages to bring international attention to the witness of anti-war clergy.
Launching online lectures and seminars for clergy and laity on spiritual life in exile, pastoral care in crisis, and faith under repression.
Offering psychological and spiritual support, including consultations, support groups, and spiritual guidance for clergy and their families.
Mapping parishes and communities across Europe where Russian-speaking Christians can find safe, judgment-free spiritual homes, and where displaced clergy can resume their vocation.
